Check out The Story Breakdown for my blog about screenwriting.

Last summer, I wrote a short screenplay called Power Out. The script won first place in the 13th Annual American Gem Literary Festival, was a semi-finalist in the 2018 Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, and was a quarter-finalist in the 2017 ScreenCraft Short Screenplay Contest and the 2018 Richmond International Film Festival.

This 8-page thriller is about a teen girl trapped in an isolated country house during a power outage, desperate to charge her phone. When she connects with a mysterious voice on her walkie-talkie, she must learn to see outside herself to help a young girl and uncover a dark family secret. Lauren Keating directed this short film and it is currently in post-production.

This past fall, I wrote a short screenplay called Running From, Running To. The script won first place in the February 2018 Sunday Shorts Film Festival in London and was a semi-finalist in the March 2018 TMFF in Glasgow. This 11-page drama is about a young woman who must confront a powerful man from her past before she can commit to her girlfriend. It was recently optioned and is in pre-production.
