Things I No Longer Know

I can sometimes see her: this foreign, future Me
with all of her ducks lined up in rows

She is the same, but different
she wears glasses and has long hair
she sits at a desk in a room I've never seen
she knows things I don't yet know

It's like looking at a photograph
of myself as a child
she is me, but she is someone else
she wears barrettes and has long hair
she sits on a bed in a room I can't recall
she knows things I no longer know
