Some friends and I hit up the county fair on Friday and ohymygod.
baby goats + ferris wheels = my wildest dreams realized
I spent the better part of today in a sunny yellow coffee shop, creating a music video from footage of the night’s festivities. It features skee-ball, bumper cars, & some of the loveliest people I know.
This video makes me really, really happy.
Lately, I’ve been doing a better job than usual of being in tune with my heart. My body, however? Is another story. My brain finally seems to be getting with the program, but my body is staging a revolt.
It doesn’t like the food I eat or the mattress I sleep on. It doesn’t like the shoes I wear for walking or the amount of water I drink. It doesn’t like the soap I use and it doesn’t like my bedtime. My body’s got more aches and pains than a West Palm Beach nursing home.
My body needs to calm the eff down.
In other news, I was interviewed by a music webzine this week and it’s a pretty awesome interview! I also started a music blog, which is where I’ll be posting my future songs and music-related musings. I’m super excited!
If you don’t have the link and you want it, shoot me an electronic mail. This blog isn’t exactly secret, but I’m trying to avoid linking my musical alter ego with my regular ego.
Oh, and speaking of my body revolting, I have to be at work at five-thirty in the morning tomorrow. Forget revolt, there’s going to be a full-fledged coup d’état.
