FAWM has challenges from time to time and the latest involves recording a song for which the chords and lyrics have already been written (but which has never been recorded before). The idea is to see how many different variations are born from the same chords and lyrics (lyrics that are, incidentally, gibberish).
This version is so amazing that it, like, hurts me. It’s incredible to see how much meaning can be imparted upon utterly meaningless words.
In my previous life as a high school acting student, one of my favorite exercises was acting out a scene in gibberish. I love how these types of exercises flip language on its head and remind us that, at the end of the day, it’s all just a bunch of sounds and syllables.
