Let this moment go down in history. I, perhaps the World’s Greatest Detractor of Microwave Ovens, just baked a cake in the microwave.
The cake actually turned out pretty well. I used this recipe because I only wanted enough cake for a few servings rather than a gigantic sheet cake that we’d be nibbling on for a week. The recipe was originally posted on vegweb.com (I modified it slightly).
For those who work at the same establishment as I, the take out containers from the cafeteria are the perfect size and shape for this cake!
