I just read the funniest craigslist ad I’ve ever seen. It’s for a sublet in Brooklyn:
The bedroom is rectangularly shape, the long orientation is from the door to the window on the opposite wall within the bedroom, the distance between is just over sixteen feet. The ceiling is ten feet high, and the width is slightly variable, the left wall, about fifty-five inches in becomes wider and opens the width of the room from sixty-six inches to seventy-eight, following the same wall, forty inches later, the wall steps vertically again to open the room another 14 inches making the room ninety-two inches wide for the remaining ninety inches to the perpendicular wall. Walking in the room there is a closet on the left hand side, which measure about thirty-two inches deep, by fifty inches wide, and eight feet high. [note: the bedroom ceiling is ten feet high] an overhead light has a non-halogen bulb (I’m almost positive, I haven’t actually looked at it though [its ten feet up]). Covering the bulb is a nice square glass fixture with a frosted design.
OMG are you serious?? How hard is it to borrow a digital camera? And why do I need an advanced degree in architecture to understand this ad??
