A few days ago, I was bored with my hair and decided that cutting it with kitchen scissors was the ideal remedy. I also forgot to use a mirror. This is not at all atypical of my hair styling efforts.
So, anyway, it came out kind of wack looking so I thought it might help if I bleached it. Tragically, this venture was met with a complete lack of success. After two applications, my hair was still nearly black but was now topped with fluorescent yellow roots. Maybe it’s because the hair dye was less than $3. In a moment of sheer desperation, I did what any sane person would do.
I dyed my roots hot pink.
This is the sort of hair dye that kids use on Halloween; it’s supposed to wash out in “8-10 washings” which I’m guessing means either “tomorrow” or “never”. This particular move is what the French often refer to as le making it worse.
The funny thing is that one pair of kitchen scissors and 3 boxes of hair dye later, my hair actually looks pretty sweet.
